Another event in France, this time focused on teenagers and was a success as well!
This event was held in July 2014 in L'Isle-Adam city, France.
It was organized by the L'Isle-Adam city and some sport leisure organizations.
The purpose of this event was to give chances for teenagers to be related to sports, and it was a good chance because they are in their summer vacation now.
Total of 19 teenagers (age 14 to 17) gathered, with 2 coaches from the city.
Mr. Bernard Thys, the captain of "Team Europe" from the World Gateball Championship coming up this year came to help from Belgium as well.
He started the lessons by how to grip the stick (mallet), how to stroke the ball, touches and sparking the ball, and practicing passing through the gate.
By the end of the day the teenagers were good enought to actually play a full gateball game!
We are very happy to hear the event succeeding and also hope that this day became one of the special days for the participants summer break memories.
