Hong Kong wins both 1st and 2nd prize!

This tournament was the 13th and is held every year since Macao China Gateball Association was established.
(except for 2012 since the 6th Asian Gateball Championship was held in Macao).
Total of 48 teams gathered from Asian countries : 22 from China, 11 from Hong Kong, 2 from Japan, 12 from Macao, and 1 from Taiwan.
The result was : teams from Hong Kong China winning the 1st and 2nd prize, and teams from China winning the 3rd and 4th prize.
The opening ceremony started from all the players marching in the field,
a welcome speech from the chairperson of Macao China Gateball Association, Mr. LAM Iat Cho,
a speech from a player from Macao, and then a ceremony of all the guests hitting the ball to a wide gate.

The first day was raining, so it seemed that the grass field was tough for players who were not used to it.
All the games were done by perfect time management, and the referees were quick in each move as well.
In conclusion the tournament was a big success and the players had a good time mingling with players from other countries too! |
