Total of 40 teams gathered from Asian countries :
17 from China, 11 from Hong Kong, 1 from Indonesia, 3 from Japan, 3 from Macao, and 5 from Taiwan.
The competition was devided in 4 stages:
1) League match: 8 groups of 5 teams each for the league matches.
The top two teams from each group qualify for the 2nd stage.
2) Tournament : 16 teams play single elimination, the first place winner of 8 teams advance to 3rd stage.
3) Tournament: 8 teams play single elimination, the winners advance to Gold Group,
and the defeated teams move to Silver Group.
4) Final Tournament: 4 teams of each group determine the ranking through single elimination.
Each court had 4 referees (Chief referee, Assistant referee, the recorder, and linesman)
and they took tearns doing each referee parts for 6 games a day.
On the first day, the last 6th game started from 5:20pm so the game was played under lights.
The final results are as follows: (Gold Group)
1st place - 深圳龍城 (China)
2nd place - 香港四隊 / Hong Kong 4 (Hong Kong)
3rd place - 嘉縣槌協甲隊 (Taiwan)
4th place - 福建省晉江市門球隊 (China)
After all the games, there was a farewell party held at a restaurant.
All the participant teams have received a memorial plaque by Ms. Lau Lee Lai Fong, chairperson of Hong Kong China Gateball Association.
There were singing and dancing during the party and was filled with laughter.
