Inspected the current status of the Gateball in three countries of South America!

Before the international Gateball rules are amended in April of 2015, WGU visited three countries of South America such as Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina from the end of January to the beginning of February in 2015, and toured each condition of their Gateball.
【Brazil】
We made a courtesy visit to the Japan Consulate (the principal consular officer) in Sao Paulo with the board members of the Brazil Gateball Union.
As Brazil has stood for a host country for the 12th World Gateball Championship of 2018, the Consulate of Sao Paulo was very highly inclined to holding the World Gateball Championship in Sao Paulo.
Afterward, the gateball playgrounds of three sites within the state of Sao Paulo were visited and each friendship game inspected.
Now, the Brazil Gateball Union has a strong desire to make the aging of the gateball members younger by introducing gateball to University of Sao Paulo. Also, they are having plans to encourage both of Korean and Chinese living in Sao Paulo to play gateball. |

【Paraguay】
With the board members of the Paraguay Gateball Asociacion, we have a courtesy visit to the ambassador of Paraguay Embassy.
After then, the friendship match followed after the seminar about amended rules was held at the Gateball field of the Japanese social welfare center within Paraguay Shrine located in the capital, Asuncion.
Because South America Gateball Championship will be hosted in July of 2015 in Pirapo, the Paraguay Gateball Union aggressively works to improve judgesﾍquality as urgent matter.

【Argentina】
Together with the board members of the Argentina Gateball Asociacion, we made a courtesy visit to Argentina Embassy and met with the consular officer.
Then, we called on “Uruma-en” in a suburb of Bueno Aires. This has natural grass court where the South America Gateball Championship was held two years ago. For more than 30 participants including ones from Peru, The seminar on amended rules was convened.
These days, though members of the Argentina Gateball Union are about 300, mainly, Japanese Argentina, they are increasingly aging. Therefore, it is an issue to make Gateball popular among local people besides Japanese Argentina.
On the other hand, the participants from Peru say that, with success at familiarizing Gateball among young generation in Peru, Gateball is spreading among young people.
