The mixed team of Japanese and Chinese Taipei won the third place!

“2015 Taiwan Taoyuan International Gateball Championship” was hosted by Chinese Taipei Gateball Association at the athletic field (natural grass court) in Taoyuan, Taiwan from November 14 (Sat) to 15 (Sun).

The teams participated totaled 120 teams: 4 teams from Japan, 13 teams from the Republic of Korea, 27 teams from China, 6 teams from Chinese Hong Kong, 2 from Chinese Macao, 68 from local Chinese Taipei.

After the convention the day before the game, the welcome party was held and really warmed up because the players of each country or region had a pleasant conversation.

In 20 courts, 6-team league matches were played and top three teams from each court (total 60 teams) moved into the final tournament.

The Japan teams were two:“TOKYO KOTO,” mixed team of 3 Japanese coming from Tokyo and two from Chinese Taipei, and “MITSUBA” coming from Yamanashi prefecture. “TOKYO KOTO” had 4 wins and 1 loss and “MITSUBA” 3 wins and 2 losses, so both reached the final. While “MITSUBA” lost in the first round, “TOKYO KOTO” became third in the final.

The final game was played between the two domestic Chinese Taipei teams and “彰化県漳興隊（Changhua County Zhang Xing team）”won the championship.


In the opening ceremony, the local children welcomed with their dance and that helped bring the mood up at once.		All representatives from countries and regions participating in the first-pitch ceremony

After “TOKYO KOTO,” mixed team of Japanese and Chinese Taipei lost in the semi-final round, they had a practice game with “Hong Kong Zone,” a team of twentyish Hong Kong Chinese youth players. The striker was a player of “Hong Kong Zone.”		The members of “TOKYO KOTO” wearing pink cherry-flower-printed uniforms and “Hong Kong Zone”


All members of “TOKYO KOTO” given an award for winning the third place.		All members of the winning Chinese Taipei team, “彰化県漳興隊（Changhua County Zhang Xing team）”
