The 2nd International Friendship Tournament in Macao China |
| On December 3-4, continuing from the previous year,
the International Friendship Tournament was held in Macao China. A total of 28
teams from China, Hong Kong China and local gathered for the event which was held
at the Macao Stadium Gateball Tournament Center, Macao Olympic General Sports
Park. The result of the tournament which was played on 4 courts was a monopoly
of the winners and runners-up positions by China with Hong Kong China in third
place. The Macao China occupied half of the middle-class, working-people teams.
Their technique and strategy are still developing, so there are good expectations
for the future. A team of 23 referees were dispatched from Guangdong, China which
helped in the smooth management of the tournament and showed some strict refereeing.
