Hawaii GB Association's 20th Anniversary
Gateball Tournament

| To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the Association
and in memory of the late Chairman Satoshi Migita, a memorial tournament was held
on November 22~23 in Ala Moana Park, Honolulu. A total of 44 teams participated;
Canada 2, Los Angeles 2, Japan 19 and 21 local teams from Hawaii. The preliminary
rounds were held on the first day and the finals tournament on the second day,
resulting in the Aichi Team from Japan winning the tournament. On the evening
of the first day, a 20th Anniversary Dinner was held. Hula dance and Hawaiian
songs performed by members of the Association provided lively entertainment and
fun. |
