The 8th World Games 2009 was held in Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
The World Games is an international multi-sporting event of non-Olympic sports.
At the same time Gateball Demonstrative Event was held as a commemorative event.
The GB Tournament was held on July 18-19 at Kaohsiung City Gateball Stadium.
Having participated is Japan, China, Korea, Macao China, Singapore, India and Chinese Taipei. 130 teams, 800 players.
The games were "3 persons Game" and "5 persons game".
It was a new style games.
The court condition was a little bit bad because of rain the day before.
However, all games were exciting.
As a result, the winner was China's team.
The 2nd and 3rd places were Chinese Taipei's teams.
