Last November WGU received a nice letter from Ms. Sharon Legacy, president of USA GB Federation.It showed that GB started in Alaska, USA.
Ms. Legacy introduced GB to a priest who lives in USA and gave him some GB equipments and materials when he visited Hawaii last October.
He is Mr. David Blanchett, a church priest and offering various recreations to youth in Alaska.
He brought them back to Alaska and played GB with Youth.
The activity was published in the magazine in the region (right photograph).
 Because of the extremely cold climate in Alaska they are playing indoors. Mr. David Blanchett is planning to set up a court on the church lawn in Anchorage in the summer.  He started in gymansiums and is using cardboard boxes for gates. 
WGU quickly donated GB equipments, instructions and some materials.
