Chinese GB Association held “2002 China Qinhuangdao International GB Tournament”
in Qinhuangdao city on Aug.11-12. Qinhuangdao city, 280 Km away from the capital
Beijing, is renowned as one of the most beautiful seaside city in China.
This Tournament is an international game by which the team in every country in
the world competes for the veteran of Chinese each ministry for supremacy. A total
of 64 teams participated : 46 local teams from China, Singapore 11, Chinese Taipei
5, Japan 1 and Thailand 1. The winner was Qinhuangdao team on site.
It is the team of Thailand to have attracted attention though the result of the
Tournament became overwhelmingness of Chinese power. Three men in the team were
handicapped.
The preliminary league game was finished in the result of one victory two defeat
in spite of handy of that. Cheerfulness of Thailand team remained in the impression.
The gate ball was promoted in China 20 years ago, and the gate ball heat in
China spreads. The population of the gate ball in China is being called 5,000,000
people now.
The judge has proven not only the strategy and the technique but also height at
