International Friendship Gateball games in Hawaii “First Spark” of year
“The 4th Happy New Year Friendly Gateball Games”, became an established custom, was held by Hawaii GB Society on Jan. 9 at Ala Moana Park in Hawaii. Enthusiastic gateball players gathered from Hawaii islands, Maui, Oahu and Hawaii. From Japan Tokyo and Okinawa teams Participated in.
League tournaments were held in the morning, and in the afternoon the tournament was done. The winner was the Hawaii and Japan mixture team.
Mr. Kakazu, director of the Okinawa Pref. Gateball Union who participates following last year said, “We did talk very much with Hawaii gateball playes. The point that it is possible to exchange friendship in this Games is a big charm. I want to participate also next year.
