National University Gateball Club, etc.,
teams with members in their 20s active!

On March 10, 18 persons received coaching on competition rules and refereeing from World Gateball Union officials in Denpasar, Bali Island. During the course the 2003 alterations to competition rules were explained and there were many questions from the enthusiastic participants.
At present there are 12 clubs with about 250 members in the Bali Gateball Association (AGB) with practice being held regularly on local courts. Also, because the first AGB Chairperson moved residence, there are now 2 teams active in the Capital, Jakarta. There are many young gateball enthusiasts including the Udayana National University Gateball Club and another SHARU Team being formed among people in their 20s. With this young strength, Indonesia plans to send teams to the 4th Asian Gateball Championships to be held in Japan this year.
