Tournament management and refereeing courses in preparation
for the 9th World Championship to be held 2 years later
With the 9th World Gateball Championship scheduled to be held in Korea in 2 years
later, a course in tournament management was held on March 18.
Approximately 350 representatives from 16 districts and 234 areas throughout the
country participated in the course. World Gateball Union officials, using past
world championships and national tournaments in Japan, explained how major tournaments
are managed. Participants also listened eagerly to lectures on refereeing at international
tournaments and points to note on the different styles of representative play,
movements, and combinations used by various countries. |
