The 8th World Games that would be held in Kaohsiung city in Taiwan in 2009, and Chairperson Kiyoko Ono of World GB Union visited Acting Mayor, Chi-Mai Chen of Kaohsiung on last August 18. The main purpose was to have asked the Mayor who served as organization committee's president concurrently for the adoption as the demonstration game of GB.
The reason for the 8th World Games is that there is hope that it is held in Chinese Taipei where the GB organization has been established, and it wants to request the participation adoption as the demonstration game again though it also refrained from a participation activity positive GB because it is not widespread in the host city in the 7th World Games (in Germany ) held in July this year. In addition, Chairperson Ono visited National Council on Physical Fitness and Sports (sports ministry), Republic of China Sports Federation and Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, explained spreading conditions and the effect of GB in foreign countries, and requested participation in World Games strongly.
