TOPICS: China First International GTBL Games on Natural Lawn in China
2005 Shanghai International GTBL Tournament.
Chinese GTBL Association (CGA) held "2005 China
International GTBL Tournament" in Shanghai City on Oct. 26-27, 2005, with
22 local teams from China, 1 from Japan 1 and 1 Macau participated.
The international game in natural lawn court is the first time in China. Because
a lot of international games such as the 9th World GTBL Championships in Korea
2006 are done in natural lawn court and also because of loose experience of the
World Games in Akita 2001, so CGA was preparing for it.
Some Chinese teams often used the double play operation in natural lawn condition.
Skills of Chinese teams looked advanced. The winner was Petroleum China team (Hebei
Province). It was a tournament in which new strength of Chinese teams in natural
lawn stood out.
Considered natural lawn, many teams used the double play better than slide touch
play.
