Hawaii International friendship Tournament
for the first time in 4 years
in Maui, beautiful Island

Hawaii International friendship Tournament was held by USA GB Federation & Hawaii GB Association in Maui Island of Hawaii for the first time in 4 years.
Having participated is 4 Japanese teams, 2 California teams and 14 local teams.
Famous strong team ”Diego” from south California that the excellent record had been left with the international game such as the world Championships participated in this Tournament, and the level became a high as players active from Japan in various places participated.
On the first day, teams played in a preliminary league. On the Second day, alll teams played in tournament do decide the champion team. The winner is local "Maui Okinawa Prefecture person association" team. The 2nd prize is “Southern California 1”twam. The 3rd prize is "Tsuchiura and willow" team.
Though international exchange was a stagnation feeling in Hawaii recently,
Sharon legacy, President of the Hawaii Gateball Association said, “We want to bring up a young player positively, and to develop an active activity also in Hawaii starting with this Tournament in the future. I want to be going to invite more a lot of countries next time by all means in Honolulu in Oahu in the near future, and to hold the international game.”
The players from Japan that took part in the Tournament, played happily with other foreign players, and after the games, enjoyed wonderful places of historic interest tour and shopping.

It is 110km away from Honolulu Oahu Island to the southeast.
It is the second largest island in Hawaii.
The island has a population of 90,000.
You can enjoy the sea and the mountain at the same time, also various nature.
