Recently, gateball began to be paid to attention also in Europe.
It was introduced in "Nice Pal "of June issue that GB started in the UK.
Three years ago Japanese players visited Germany, demonstrated Gateball games and held friendly games with the local players.
Last August Ms. Iwona Sudol came to Japan from Poland to acquire the Gateball and to spread the Gateball in her home country.
She lives in Cracow city, Poland in present.
She majored in Japanese Culture at Jagiellonian University in Cracow. She has been interested in Japanese Culture since before.
When she watched the web site of Japan Gateball Union, she came to think to play GB in Poland.
Then she sent e-mail to JGU that she hoped to watch GB game.

She came to Japan on August 3 in summer vacation. During staying in Tokyo she watched GB games.
She talked to many Japanese players, “after returning to Poland I want to consult with the person related to sports, spreading GB activity to the senior people at first.” ,she said. Also she visited JGU office and exchanged information with JGU staff on August 6.

The request of GB promotion from France came to JGU recently, too.
GB is now spreading through Europe.
