Chairperson Kiyoko Ono of World Gateball Union visited Beijing on Oct. 7th and handed donation \1,610,501 yen in Aid of the Sichuan Earthquake in China to Mr. Liu Peng, President of Chinese Olympic Committee.
After ceremony they talked about the next World Gateball championships in 2010.
Chinese GB Association is hoping to hold it in Shanghai. Mr. Liu Peng told Ms. Ono, “China would very much like to hold the next GB Championships. Please decide the next Championships will be held in Shanghai.”
After visiting Beijing WGU staff visited Shanghai and inspected the candidate site in Shanghai.
