In December 2025, the 2025 Macao International Gateball Championships were held in Macao.

Teams from Japan, Australia, Chinese Taipei, Hong Kong, China, Pakistan, and the host region Macao participated in the event, with competitors representing four countries and three regions, making it a truly international tournament.

The competition was conducted in three categories: five-player team events, doubles, and singles.
Chinese teams dominated the top positions across all categories, showcasing high technical skill, fast-paced play, and a consistently high competitive level throughout the tournament.

In addition to the matches, the championships featured a ceremonial opening event as well as an after-party combined with the awards ceremony, providing valuable opportunities for international exchange among players and officials.
These elements contributed to a well-rounded and memorable event beyond the competition itself.
