The 1st China International Gateball Opening Tournament
Venue: The tournament will be held in Wendeng District, Weihai City, Shandong Province, China.
Date: 19-22 September 2019.
The 1st China International Gateball Opening Tournament is hosted by Chinese Gateball Association which to provide a platform for promoting the communication between domestic and international gateball sports events as well as the development of gateball sports all over the world. Players all over the world get to know each other by gateball, which can promote the cultural communication.
Opening ceremony
There are 15 teams from Singapore, India, Japan, Hong Kong China, Macao China and Chinese Taipei, as well as 18 teams from China, with a total of 33 teams and 245 athletes participating in this China Open. The oldest player in the competition is already 90 years old who comes from Hong Kong China. The youngest is only 16 years old who comes from Yantai yuhuayuan gateball club team.

The competition was held in great spirit, with many competitors remarking on the friendly nature of the event. Monday evening’s party was well attended.
