Japan Donated Equipment for Gateball to Uganda: The Handover Ceremony was Held.

The Japan Gateball Union (JGU) donated several sets of Gateball equipment to the Republic of Uganda. Upon its arrival, the handover ceremony was held on April 14, 2018 at Makerere University, the best and most well-known university.  Mr. Robert Bakaze, the president of the Uganda Gateball Union (UGU) and a Makerere student, was handed over the Gateball equipment by H. E. Mr. Kazuaki Kameda, JapaneseAmbassador to Uganda on behalf of the JGU. Following that, the congratulatory message from Mr. Shinobu Shiikawa, JGU chairman, was delivered.  Mr. Omara Apita, Commissioner in-charge of Physical Education in the Ministry of Education and Sports of Uganda, and Ms. Anne Adeke Ebaju, the UGU’s Patron Youth MPattended the ceremony and celebrated UGU’s future promotion of Gateball in Uganda. “New Vision,” the Uganda’s leading daily paper, carried an article on this ceremony on April 16, 2018.
