As one of the 17 sports of the 4th Thailand Open Masters Games 2024, the International Gateball Championships was held at Chiang Mai Municipal Stadium in Thailand from Saturday of February 24 to Wednesday of February 28, hosted by the Thai Gateball Union.

The championships was divided into “Classic”, “Triples”, and “Doubles” competitions, and was divided into an open division with no age limit and a senior division for people aged over 60, depending on the age of the athletes, for a total of six categories.

A total of 124 teams and approximately 400 players participated in. Nine countries and regions. South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, India, Pakistan, Thailand, and Australia from the Oceania region, and the official of the Japan Gateball Union.

On the first day of February 24th, a welcome party was held in the evening after player and team registration, a representative meeting, and an official practice.

The next day, on February 25th, after the “classic” competition, the opening ceremony for all sports of the “4th Thailand Open Masters Games 2024” was held in a park of the city.

On February 26th, “Triples” competition was held, and February 27th, “Doubles” competition was held. The winning teams in each category were as follows, and the local Thai team were conspicuous and hugely successful in the Championships.

On each court, players from each country and region were seen deepening their friendship through play, and the five days Championships was successful.
