Official Rules

The Official International GTBL Rules and the Guide for Referees established by the World Gateball Union (WGU), were discussed at the WGU International Meeting 2024(held in Tokyo), approved by the WGU Board of Directors, with some revisions coming into effect on April 1, 2025.

This Official International GTBL Rules will apply to the World Gateball Championships and the Asia Gateball Championships.

Since the application of these Official International GTBL Rules is left to the discretion of each governing body in each country and region, the establishment of unique rules and the timing of their application may differ. Furthermore, please note that each tournament may also set some special rules depending on the purpose of its hosting.
