News: Gateball Expansion Advances Through International Exchange in Côte d’Ivoire
Aiming to Spread Gateball Across Africa Through Global Connections
The development of gateball in Côte d’Ivoire began in February 2024, when Mr. Pierre Michel Zangbe contacted the World Gateball Union (WGU).
With equipment support provided by the WGU, regular gateball experience events have since been organized within the country. In June 2024, related members were also sent to the Beaune Gateball Club in France, where they received coaching and practical instruction.
Furthermore, in February 2025, Mr. Zangbe participated in the Africa International Sports Convention (CISA) held in Dakar, Senegal. At the convention, gateball was introduced to sports officials and stakeholders from various African countries, contributing to greater awareness of the sport across the continent.
