51^stWGU Board of Directors’ Meeting was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil on September 21, 2018, in conjunction with the 12^thWorld Gateball Championship held from September 21 through 23.

Nine representatives from WGU member countries: Argentina, Brazil, China, Japan, Korea, Paraguay, Peru, and the US attended the meeting which was chaired by Mr. Shinobu Shiikawa, WGU chairperson. They discussed on the venue of the next World Gateball Championship scheduled in 2022.  It will be decided based on the comments expressed during this meeting in addition to the recommendations by the WGU secretariat based on the facilities and various conditions such as operational capacities and capabilities.

Following the discussion on the venue issue, they exchanged their views on the current situation of Gateballl in their areas or countries.
