Due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, countries around the world have been forced to continue taking a variety of emergency measures. Entry bans and travel restrictions have made it impossible for us to make concrete plans for dispatching teams, and unfortunately, this situation is expected to continue for the foreseeable future.

In the face of this unprecedented pandemic, member organizations also face numerous challenges, such as the need to implement infection prevention measures to ensure the highest level of safety at domestic competitions.

In light of these circumstances, it is with the utmost regret that we have decided to postpone the 13th World Gateball Championship until 2026, the year the 14th World Gateball Championship would have been held.

Going forward, discussions on the host city and event date will continue as we ascertain each member organizations’ opinions on this matter.
